  • 4 medium-sized apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans work well)
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Layer the sliced apples in a 9-inch (23cm) baking dish.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the rolled oats, chopped nuts, melted coconut oil, honey or maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Stir well to combine.
  4. Spread the oat mixture over the apples, covering them completely.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown on top and the apples are tender.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
