  • 1 pound powdered sugar
  • 5 tablespoons meringue powder
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Food coloring (optional)


  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the powdered sugar and meringue powder. Mix well.
  2. Add the water and beat on low speed with an electric mixer until smooth and glossy, about 7-10 minutes. If the icing is too thick, add more water 1 teaspoon at a time until it reaches the desired consistency.
  3. If desired, add food coloring and mix until well combined.
