  • 2 large egg whites
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar, sifted


  1. In a small saucepan, combine granulated sugar, water, cream of tartar, and salt. Heat over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until sugar dissolves and mixture comes to a boil.
