Easy Apple Pie


This easy apple pie recipe is a classic dessert that is perfect for any occasion. With a flaky crust and delicious filling made from fresh apples, this pie can be enjoyed by anyone. It can serve 8 people.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 6 cups thinly sliced apples (peeled and cored)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Place pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and set aside.
  3. Melt butter in a saucepan.
  4. Stir in flour to form a paste.
  5. Add white sugar, brown sugar, water, and cinnamon and bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce temperature and let simmer.
  7. Add apples and continue to simmer until apples are tender (about 6-8 minutes). Don’t forget to stir the apples occasionally.
  8. Pour apple mixture into pie crust.
  9. Cover the pie with the top crust and cut slits in the top.
  10. Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for an additional 35-45 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  11. Remove from oven and let cool before serving.

Additional Notes:

The pie can be served warm or chilled and it pairs well with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. The preparation time is approximately 20 minutes and the cooking time is about 50-60 minutes.
