  1. Wash the glutinous rice in cold water until the water becomes clear. Soak the rice in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.

  3. While the rice is cooking, make the sauce by combining coconut milk, sugar, and salt in a saucepan. Heat the mixture over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  4. Cut the ripe mangoes into small cubes and set aside.
  5. Once the rice is cooked, transfer it to a mixing bowl. Gradually add the coconut sauce little by little and mix well until the rice is well-coated and becomes sticky.
  6. To serve, place the sticky rice in a bowl and top with the chopped mangoes. Sprinkle some sesame seeds, if using, on top and serve immediately.
