  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups of chow mein noodles
  • 2 cups of crispy rice cereal
  • 1 1/2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil

  1. Melt the peanut butter and unsalted butter over low heat in a large saucepan. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  2. Add the chow mein noodles and crispy rice cereal to the saucepan and mix well to coat with the melted peanut butter and butter mixture.
  3. Using a spoon or an ice cream scooper, form the mixture into small haystacks onto a lined baking sheet.
  4. In a separate bowl, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips and vegetable oil together until smooth.
  5. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the haystacks and refrigerate the haystacks for at least 30 minutes or until the chocolate has hardened.
