Peach Bourbon BBQ Sauce

  • 2 large peaches, pitted and roughly chopped
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  1. Preheat your non-stick saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Place the chopped peaches into the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned.
  3. Transfer the cooked peaches to a blender and blend until smooth.
  4. Return the pan to medium heat and add the blended peaches back into the pan.
  5. Add ketchup, molasses, apple cider vinegar, bourbon, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce into the pan.
  6. Stir in the minced garlic, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper and simmer for 10-12 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.
  7. Remove from heat and let it cool down for 5-7 minutes.
  8. Once cooled, use a blender or a stick blender to puree the sauce until smooth. Adjust the seasoning if needed.
  9. Use the sauce right away or let it cool down before storing it in an airtight container. This sauce can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
